Manchinro Honten
The oldest restaurant in Yokohama Chinatown, Machinro Honten first opened its doors in 1892 and is continuing a tradition of excellent service and fine Cantonese cuisine. Manchinro Honten is everything you might expect from a Chinatown restaurant: a bright colorful exterior hung with Chinese lanterns is matched by the gorgeous interior furnishings, and the menu features all the classics: Peking duck, dim sum dishes and manju pastries. All the food is cooked using fresh seasonal ingredients with no added chemicals. Spoil yourself with a full course meal or choose from over 100 individual dishes on the à la carte menu.

Saikoh Shinkan
Saikoh Shinkan is another famous restaurant in Yokohama Chinatown that is hard to miss with its gold-covered exterior. This restaurant is unusual in that it has five different floors, with different interior styles for different styles of meal such as casual dining, a simple tea tasting, or a full-course formal banquet. Private dining is also available. Like Manchinro Honten, Saikoh Shinkan has a range of full course meals to suit different budgets and appetites, or you can dine à la carte. Dim sum courses are available for lunch and dinner and are very popular.

Trattoria Pesce D’Oro Milano
Pesce D’Oro is an authentic Italian restaurant serving delicious appetizers, thin-crust pizza, pasta, risotto and veal cutlets in a very relaxed setting. This restaurant has a great wine selection, beer on tap, and the desserts include tiramisu, gelato and crème brulée.

Eggs ’n Things
Originally a Hawaiian restaurant chain, Eggs ’n Things is popular in Japan for its range of egg based dishes: waffles, crepes, omelettes, eggs benedict, French toast… and of course pancakes! Hawaiian dishes such as loco moco, Kalua pork burgers and poke bowls are also on the menu. There are two branches of Eggs ’n Things in Yokohama: one in the Minato Mirai district and the other on the 1st floor of Yokohama Marine Tower.

Charcoal Grill Green
Charcoal Grill Green serves European and American style meals using the best local ingredients. True to the name, most things on the menu here are grilled: whether that’s steaks, pork, lamb chops, Cajun chicken, cheeseburgers or pizzas. They also have a great drinks menu with a wide selection of craft beer and wine. Charcoal Grill Green has two branches with different opening hours.

Katsuretsu-an
Katsuretsu-an has been serving tonkatsu – deep-fried breaded pork cutlets – alongside their special secret sauce since 1927. Also on the menu are shrimp and chicken, but it’s the pork that this restaurant is famous for. Meals are served with clam soup, pickled vegetables and as much rice and grated cabbage as you can eat.

Yokohama Brewery – Umaya no Shokutaku
Yokohama is the birthplace of beer brewing in Japan so Yokohama Brewery, the oldest craft beer brewery in Yokohama, is holy ground for beer fans. At the brewery’s Umaya no Shokutaku restaurant you can enjoy a range of the brewery’s beers paired with local and international meat and seafood dishes. Ingredients are all sourced locally.

Sparta
Sparta is the first and oldest Greek restaurant in Japan and has been serving the finest Greek food in Yokohama since 1953. On the menu you will find authentic Greek dishes such as moussaka (eggplant casserole), dolmadakia (grape leaves stuffed with rice), and spanakotiropitakia (feta cheese and spinach pies). On the drinks menu is a fine selection of Greek wines and beers, and spirits such as Ouzo and Metaxa. The setting is bright and cheerful and decorated in the Greek colors of blue and white.
