Sotetsu Yokohama Station serves the Sotetsu Main Line which links the cities of Yokohama, Yamato, and Ebina, and via through services, with Shonandai Station in Fujisawa City. Sotetsu Yokohama Station is operated by the private railway company Sotetsu, which is also called Sagami Railway.
Sotetsu Yokohama Station is located on the southwest side of Yokohama Station’s main building on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Joinus shopping center. From inside the main station building the Sotetsu station can be accessed directly via the Southern Passage.
From the Central Passage or Northern Passage of the main station building, simply take a west exit, turn left and you will see signs for the Sotetsu Station ahead of you.
Tickets and Information
Ticket gates can be found on the 1st and 2nd floors of the station.
Commuter passes can be bought at the Pass Office on the 1st floor.
On the 2nd floor there is a Station Office beside the ticket gates which has an Information counter and a Lost & Found counter.
Ticket machines can be found beside the ticket gates on both the 1st and 2nd floors.
The ticket machines are operated by touch screens, have language options in English, Chinese, Korean and Japanese, and are easy to use. These machines also accept PASMO prepaid IC cards.
Above the machines are fare charts, which show all destinations in both English and Japanese along with their fares.
Platforms
Sotetsu Yokohama Station has three platforms on the 2nd floor of the station. All services from these platforms are either bound for Ebina on the Sotetsu Main Line or for Shonandai on the Sotetsu Izumino Line.
Services leaving Platform 1 are local trains which stop at all stations.
Services leaving Platforms 2 and 3 are Rapid, Express and Limited Express trains.
Digital signage gives departure information in both English and Japanese.
